Harold Dean Hamel, 50, of Georgia, died Tuesday, May 1, 1990 at the HCS Parkway Memorial Hospital in Lithia Springs, GA.

Son of the Clara Mae Hamel and the late Carl Hamel, he was born October 3, 1939 in Steele, Missouri.

A member of the VFW and the Memphis Traffic Club, he was a sales representative for the N & W Railroad and served in the Army from 1958 to 1960.

He leaves his mother, Clara Mae Hamel, of Cooter, Missouri; four brothers: Kenneth Hamel of Mississippi, Gerald Hamel of Douglasville, Georgia, Donyel Hamel of Downey, California, and Sherdon Hamel of Los Angeles, California; and one sister, Sharon Stanford, of Steele.

Rev. Tim Abanathy conducted funeral services at Bradshaw-German-Aumon Chapel, Saturday, May 5, 1990, at 2:00 p.m., in Steele.

Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with arrangements by Bradshaw-German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele.

Pallbearers were Bobby Westbrook, Ray Westbrook, Philip Becker, Lee Edward Whitener, Dee Barger, and Jerry McClure.
