Tecumseh resident Elsie Mae Trammell, 94, died Sunday, April 3, in Shawnee.
She was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Mountain Park to Philo and Lois Miranda (Dempsey) Long. She was reared in Mountain Park.

She was married Dec. 21, 1929, in Cold Springs to Alvis Trammell. Following her marriage she lived in the Mountain Park area until moving to Romulus.

She moved to Tecumseh in 1968 where she lived the remainder of her life.

Trammell was a homemaker. She raised her brothers and sisters. Her family was the focal point in her life. She won awards for her cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; two sons, A.D. and Bill Trammell; two grandsons, Billy Mac Barnes and Bradford O'Neal Trammell; one great-grandson, Dillon Ray O'Quin; her parents; six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Jeppe of Oklahoma City and Peggy Sliger of Shawnee; one son and three daughters-in-law, Luther and Nadine Trammell of Tecumseh, Martena Trammell of Macomb and Janie Trammell-Gay of Tecumseh; two sisters-in-law, Leona Lewis of Shawnee and Annie Dubble of Visilia, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Hurst of Bethel Acres Assembly and associate pastor of Bethel Acres Assembly Larry Townsend officiating. Burial will be at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh
