Geraldine (Wright) Abshear, 88, of Arcanum, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
Jerry had lived with her late husband in Dunedin, Florida for 41 years.
Mrs. Abshear was born in Darke County on September 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Leroy and Myrtie (Chellis) Horine.
She was a retired Beautician owning the former Jerry's Beauty Shop in Ithaca. Geraldine was a member of the Union Street United Methodist Church, Dunedin, Florida; and a member of the Ft. Black OES # 19, New Madison.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband David Abshear, who died May 4, 1988 and two brothers Homer and Joseph Horine.
She is survived by two sons Gary Wright and wife Nancy of Arcanum and Ronald Wright of West Milton; daughter Cindy McClelland and husband Jorge; Grandchildren Theresa (Ed) Howerton, Melissa (Scott) Williams, Heather Lamb and Samantha Wright, Danny, Gary, and Andrew McClelland; Great Grandchildren Tabitha Copsey, Whitney Westfall, Kile Meyer, Savannah and Charlotte Lamb; Great Great Grandchildren Riley and Ethan Ignaffo.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Darlene Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 1 hour before the service at the funeral home.
