HINESVILLE -- W.W. "Flebo" Caines, 78, died March 13 at home under the care of Hospice Savannah.

He was a lifelong resident of Liberty County and owner of Independent Service Station in Hinesville. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hinesville. He was a charter member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Hinesville Hunting Club for 35 years and was a leading blood donor for Liberty County.

SURVIVORS: three daughters, Jean Hartwell of Little River, S.C., Laurie Padgett of Hinesville and Carol Duncan of Jesup; two sons, Lawrence W. Caines of Gracewood and William O. Caines of Hinesville; a brother, Henry E. Caines of Port Wentworth; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel, Hinesville.
SERVICE: 2 p.m. Friday at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel, burial in Hinesville Cemetery.
