Opal Vera Gillmore, 89, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel
of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Jimmy Gillmore of Riverview
Baptist Church in Borger and Rocky Gillmore of Crossroads Baptist
Church in Woodlands officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery.

Mrs. Gillmore married Gus Gillmore in 1928. They moved to Amarillo in
1948 from Pampa. He died in 1987. She was a housewife and a Baptist.

Survivors include five sons, Fred Gillmore, Phillip Gillmore and
Dennis Gillmore, all of Amarillo, Rodney Gillmore of Claude and Jimmy
Gillmore of Borger; four daughters, Arlene Gillis, Dolphene Fowler and
Debbie Mitchell, all of Amarillo and Betty Hadsell of Lake Stephen,
Wash.; two sisters, Olevia Higgenbothem and Juanita Higgins, both of
Farmers Branch; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a
great-great-grandchild.

The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and
Life Enrichment Center.

The body will be available at the family home, 8713 River Road, until
noon today
