Aunt Sue was the youngest of three children and second daughter born to
Fletcher Oceola ROBINSON and Mary Elizabeth LOTT

1892 Census, Spencer, Tioga County, New York; 8 years old, with her parents and siblings.

21 FEB 1900 she married 1st Frank Wesley HOYT (the only child of Fred D. HOYT and Delphine POOL) in Spencer, Tioga County, New York. Susie was 16 years old. Frank was 20 and an undertaker, born in Halsey Valley.

1900 Census, Barton, Tioga County, New York; age 16; with her husband and his parents. Frank was an undertaker and his father a farmer.

According to my grandmother, "Aunt Sue lived in Halsey Valley, New York while she was married to Mr. Hoyt. She assisted her husband in the undertaking business. They owned a lovely home in the tiny village of Halsey Valley, N.Y. and as I recall, quite an acreage - He had registered Holstein Cattle. they had modern facilities like acetylene lights in their home! They raised my brother Aldis and sent him to school. We used to go back east to visit them, or at least, I visited with them on summer vacations. I remember, they put up their own ice in sawdust in the ice house and we played in the sawdust. There were hills surrounding the valley and one was covered with daisies -- so pretty. Aunt Sue used to send me to the little country store with a basket of eggs to get a few groceries (makes you think of it when we watch Little House on the Prairie) There was a rock bottom creek ran through the town. A little country church -- Frank Hoyt taught a SS class. The little store and Grange Hall. When Frank Hoyt died his folks got all the estate as women were not supposed to have any rights in those days. Even tho she worked with him. There was a small widows portion and I guess she and her mother Mary Elizabeth then moved to Florida..."

1910 Census, Barton, Tioga County, New York; age 26; with her husband, his parents, grandmother, and Susie's nephew. Frank was an undertaker - Funeral Director; and his father a farmer.

1920 Census, Barton, Tioga County, New York; age 36; with her husband, his mother and grandmother, and Susie's nephew. Frank was an undertaker.

My grandmother told me, "She and her mother moved to Florida after the death of her first husband."
