Sandra K. Helton, age 63 of Ashley passed away Tuesday evening, February 7, 2012 in the Hospice room of Grady Memorial Hospital while surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 10, 1948 in Delaware to the late William T. and Irene V. (Stowers) Andrews. Sandy attended Buckeye Valley High School and then worked for Sunray Stove in Delaware for 20 years. During her time at Sunray she met James Helton Sr. whom she married May 27, 1978. She later worked at Arbors of Delaware.
A devoted and faithful member of Living Waters Church of God in Marysville, she was at her best caring for the needs of others, especially her family. She and her husband enjoyed attending car shows and exhibiting their prized 1969 Chevelle SS amongst others.
Hardworking, she was never a quitter. Loving in every way and always accepting, she was generous to a fault. She will be remembered for her love of family and spoiling her beloved children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 33 years: James Helton Sr., children: Douglas (Toni) Robinson of Mt. Vernon, Jennifer (Keith) Fisher of Ashley, Rebecca Robinson of Ashley, James (Jennifer) Helton Jr. of South Amherst, Jason (Mindy) Helton of Vermillion, Jerrod (Christan) Helton of Marion, 14 Grandchildren, 1Great-grandchild along with one expected, half-brother: Bill Andrews of Tacoma, WA, half-sisters: Betty Walsh of Columbus, Sue Ann Conkle of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by grandson: Alexander, brothers: Larry, Ronny, Donny, and Dale Andrews, sisters: Elsie Harter and Beverly Andrews.
Friends may call two hours 12:00 -2:00 prior to the 2:00 p.m. funeral services. Saturday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR's 3 at 61, Sunbury with Rev. Jack Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlborough Cemetery.
