Richard Donaldson born Sept. 24, 1850 was never married and spent most of his life on sheep and cattle ranches. He owned a cattle ranch in Montana near Billings, and later a wheat farm in Western Kansas. For some years he lived with his sister Marie Ellen Brown and her husband James G Brittain. He spent his last days in St. Joseph, Missouri.
