He was born on March 3, 1918, in Fulton Co., Ohio, the son of Hudson and Wilhelmina (Heater) Jones. Charles had been a resident of Clare county since 1919. He was united in marriage to Eloise M. Krebs on April 8,1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Charles was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the Army Air Force. He was an active member of the Clare County Tax Payers Association.
Surviving are his wife Eloise of Harrison; his mother Mrs. Mina Jones of Harrison; one son Charles II of Harrison; one brother Jack Jones of Livonia; 3 grandchildren and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors. His father, Hudson, preceded him in death in 1975; one son, Robert E. preceded him in death in 1968; and a brother, Robert also preceded him in death in 1969.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 1, at 2:30 p.m. from Coker Funeral Home, Harrison, with Elder Dale Beavers officiating. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Greenwood Twp., Harrison, Michigan.
