He was born on August 11, 1941 in Bell, CA and raised in Cudahy, CA.
He attended Pius X High School in Downey, CA and attended Golden West College.
At age 18 he met the love of his life, Carol, at a car club dance. They married in 1963 and had 2 children, Trisha and Jimmy, and moved to Orange County.
Jim served in the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. He retired from the water dept. for the City of Fountain Valley in 1994. After retirement, he and his wife traveled the world, including his dreams of visiting Ireland and the Vatican.
Jim enjoyed playing golf with his old high school buddies every Friday. He played softball every week until age 65. He enjoyed going to car shows to show his prize winning 1932 Ford Victoria.
He enjoyed spending time with all his buddies from the TARTARS CAR CLUB, which had been together since high school and were still close as brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol; daughter, Trisha; son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Judi, grandchildren, Nico Sara and Desmond Royal; his mother, Helen; his brother, Jerry; sister-in-law, Maggie, his sister, Judy. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Jack and sister, Marjorie.
He was loved by everyone who knew him and never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by all.
