He was the son of James Theodore Meadows and Amanda "Maud" Jarrell. Born in Eskdale, Cabin Creek, Kanawha County, along with his sister Elizabeth and half sibling James Theodore Jr. and step sister Helen Imogene Matthews-(nee Coiner)

Marvin "Red" Meadows, 84, of Leewood, died July 14, 1988 at home.
He was a member of the UMW and a retired miner.
Surviving: wife, Josie; sons, Billy of Hammond, Ind., Raymond of Leewood, Sebert of Hammond; daughters, Christine Meadows of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Earline Moore of St. Louis, Mrs. Sonja Paxton of Warsaw,Ind., Mrs. Isaleah Goodwin of Leewood; brother, James of New Orleans; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 Sunday at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank.
