Stella Harrold, 86, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Born Oct. 12, 1916, in Stubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred (Kernvia) Simmers. She was a member of Holy Ascension Serberbian Orthodox Church, Youngwood. Stellas memories will be cherished by her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Jessie Harrold and wife, Cathy, of Ruffsdale, and Ray Harrold of Bear Rocks; a daughter, Mildred Rolfe and husband, Donald, of Barton, N.Y.; four granddaughters; five great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Eli and George Simmers, both of Hunker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Samuel Arthur Harrold in 1985, and infant William Harrold in 1952; two brothers, Paul and Pete Simmers; and two sisters, Mildred Stoyaek and Mary Maccarelli. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., 730 W. Main St., Mount Pleasant, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard L. Hartman officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.
