She was born November 7, 1954, in Mason County, a daughter of the late Wilson
and Mary Arthur Meadows. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Keith
Meadows; a sister-in-law, Mae Belle Meadows; and a brother-in-law, Sam Esposito.
She is survived by two daughters and a sons-in-law, Mary and Gerald Clark and
Tina and Matthew Chapman; one son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Jill
Litchfield, two stepchildren, Brad and Kayla Watterson; two sisters and
brother-in-law, Virginia and George Shirkey and Patricia Esposito; four brothers
and sisters-in-law, Elwood and Sue Meadows, Zelin and Evelyn Meadows, Daniel and
Judy Meadows and Archie Meadows. She is also survived by sisters-in-Christ and
on earth, Teresa Edmonds and Teri Sowards. Also surviving, a special
mother-in-law, Ina Litchfield; a special sister-in-law, Sara Sammarco; and two
special nieces, Brittany Sammarco and Katie Litchfield; a brother-in-law, Tucker
Litchfield and his wife, Cindy.
Shirley worked at Perry Norvell Shoe Factory and sold Avon. She was a member of
Fairfield United Methodist Church of Glenwood, W.Va. Funeral services will be
held Sunday, May 27, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Fairfield United Methodist Church by
Pastor Don Reynolds and Pastor Ronald Long.
Pallbearers were Steve and Andy Sowards, Bill Massie, Eddie Meadows, Dwayne
Bowman, Bud Ward and Brad Watterson. We thank two special nurses from Hospice,
Lois and Ginger, for all their love and comfort throughout Shirley's illness.
Shirley was a truly wonderful person who was deeply religious and had room in
her heart for everyone.
