On May 2, 1917, he was united in marriage to Luella Josvanger near DeSoto, Wisconsin and to this union were born two sons; Clair and Merlin.
Mr. Hanson was a director of the Belmond Township School Board for 14 years through the time of reorganization with the Belmond Schools. He was a life long memeber of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Luella, 1 son Clair of Belmond, 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Sisters: Mrs. Guy(Inga) Barton of Buffalo Center, and Mrs. Ollie (Helma) Tomson of Canton, South Dakota.
Preceding his in death were his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 son.
