Kathryn Lane Bolding, 77, of Carrollton, formerly of Ellijay, died June 23, 2007. She was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Randolph County, Ala., to the late Whittlin S. Lane and Irene Dannielly Lane.
Ms. Bolding worked for the Corps of Engineers at Dobbins AFB in Marietta and was a teacher at Murray County High School for 10 years before she retired. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Ellijay. She was a graduate of North Georgia University and received her master's degree in Behavioral Disorder from the University of West Georgia.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Lane Bolding; sister, Rebecca L. Norfleet; and brother, William S. Lane.
Survivors include her son, Charles D. Bolding, of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Alan W. Bolding and Becky Bolding, of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Karen B. Stewart and Buster Stewart, of Carrollton; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted June 26 at 11 a.m. at West Georgia Memorial Park in Carrollton with the Rev. J.C. Cook officiating. Music will be rendered by Rethal Martin.
