He had said he had tried to get work and just couldn't and just wanted to get out of the way.
His mother, Mrs. Bertha Rische and a brother, Henry E. Rische reported that Herman Rische came home about 1:15 a.m. this morning. He turned on the radio and built a fire in the grate then talked about suicide. They told him to just go to bed and they would talk things over later. He went in his room and just a few minutes later they heard the gun. Mr. Rische was on the floor when his brother went to check on him.
Other than his mother and brother, Henry, he also left a brother, John Rische of Los Angeles; and one sister, Mrs. C. J. Whitehead of Tuscon, AZ. He was unmarried.
