William Michael Greene, of Edmond, passed away on April 3, 2000. He was born June 10, 1957 in Springfield, Missouri to Mary Ann and Joe Greene. Mike was raised in Springfield. He attended the Springfield Public Schools, graduating from Glendale High School in 1975. He attended Penn Valley Community College, Kansas City, Missouri in Restaurant Management and was a certified working Chef, by A.C.F. He was a member of National Ave. Christian Church as a young man and later, was an active member of the Edmond Free Methodist Church after moving to Oklahoma. Mike enjoyed golf, baseball, basketball, boating and fishing. He volunteered his time to coach baseball and teach recreation at church. He is survived by his wife Roetta Greene; son Geoffrie; parents, Mary Ann and Joe Greene; brothers, Christopher & Chuck; sister-in-law Christie; nephew, Andy; niece, Abby and grandmother, Lucile Chilton. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.R. Chilton, Jr. and Martha and Tom Greene.
