Charles E. Saltzgiver, Jr., 88, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012, at Manor Care of York. He was born on October 21, 1923, son of the late Charles E. Sr. and Arena Delphine (Tyson) Saltzgiver. Charles was a veteran of WWII, a member of Advent Lutheran Church and I.B.E.W. Local #229. He enjoyed horseback and motorcycle riding. He is survived by his loving wife, Florus I. (Dellinger) Saltzgiver; son, Alan D. Saltzgiver; and grandchildren, Melissa Hyde and Stanley Saltzgiver. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brother, Jac T. Saltzgiver of Charlotte, NC. Per the family's request, there will be no viewing. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
