Carolyn Joyce Painter, age 63, passed away October 21, 2009 in Batesville, Arkansas. Carolyn was born May 28, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas to the late John Leonard and Niobra Smith. She was a member of the Chinquapin Church of Christ in Bethesda, Arkansas.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of over 45 years Marvin Howard Painter of Bethesda; two daughters, Crystal Lynn Ramirez and her husband Adolfo of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Tamara Ruth Henderson and her husband Wade Allen of Batesville; two brothers, Billy Leonard Smith and his wife Vickie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and George Ronald Smith and his wife Carol of Danville, Arkansas; two sisters, Esther Lee White and her husband Jim of Belleville, Arkansas and Linda Gean Humphreys and her husband Tom of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Savannah and Tye Henderson both of Batesville, Eric Ramirez of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Samantha Ramirez of Cabot, Arkansas.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Research at P.O. Box 22 Little Rock, Arkansas 72203 1-800-880-7491 or to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or call 1-800-805-5856.
