Obituary in Lufkin Daily News, Nov. 18, 1966

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Munmon who died at her son's residence on O'Quinn St. after a long illness, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Long Chapel CME Church with Rev. C. R. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Munmon was born in Cherokee County and lived in Lufkin for the past 12 years. She was a member of the C.M.E. Church and Willing Workers Aid Club.

Survivors include three sons, Nute Munmon of Lufkin, Choice Munmon of Seattle and Howard Munmon of Detroit; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
