Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Ester Beckham Barnett, age 94 of Flower Mound, TX, formerly of Dubach, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hico Baptist Church in Hico with Rev. Don Cardin officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Barnett was born July 10, 1920 in Hico to James Thomas Beckham and Mary Lear Beckham. She died June 13, 2015 in Flower Mound, TX. She worked as a nurse’s aide and unit secretary in healthcare and later on, as a people greeter which she enjoyed very much. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting and sewing, reading her Bible and taking care of family members and friends whenever they were sick or needed help. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: William Barnett; son: Bill Barnett; granddaughter: Ashley Barnett; grandson: Jay Landry; brothers: Alden Beckham, Garland Beckham, Roy Beckham and John T. “Jack” Beckham; sisters: Mildred Stepp, Willie Mae Mellinger and Nancy Brooks.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by her daughter: Ricki and husband Robert Casterline; daughter-in-law: Micky Barnett; grandchildren: Mona Volk, Jennifer Petty, Madeline Barnett, Cooper Barnett, Seth Barnett and Adam Barnett; great grandchildren: Hadley Million, Jonathan Faircloth, Nick Faircloth, Satchel Million, Josh Owen, Brooke Landry, Allie Landry, Ryan Petty, Ash Barnett, Charley Barnett, Kadence Barnett, Reed Petty and Brooklyn Barnett as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers were: John Beckham, Shorty Shaw, Cooper Barnett, Adam Barnett, Satchel Million and Brandon Brazzel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Hico Baptist Church.
