GARDNER - Martellus T. Gardner, aged 73 years, died last evening at 110 Maple street West Richmond, of dropsical trouble. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the house and at 2 o'clock from the Third M. E. church. The interment will be in the Lutheran cemetery, and will be under the auspices of Woodward Lodge, Oriental encampment, I.O.O.F., and Osceola tribe, Independent O.R.M. He leaves a widow, and two sons, Martellus, of Piqua, O., and Malancthon S., and two daughters, Ida M. and Mrs. India G. Hadden, all of this city. Mr. Gardner for many years had charge of the toll gate near Earlham cemetery.
