Emma Evelyn Stamey Seebo, 74, of Chesapeake, VA passed away December 2, 2008. She was born in Highpoint, NC the daughter of the late Larcie C. and Henry P. Stamey. She retired from the supply department of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Emma was a member of the Esther Chapter #37 Order of the Eastern Star, Zulekia Court #35 Ladies of the Shriners where she served as a past High Priestess., and Order of the Jesterettes.

Emma is survived by her husband of almost 51 years, Britton Barkley Seebo, Sr. of Chesapeake, sons and daughters-in-law, Britton B. Seebo, Jr. and Jennifer L. B. Seebo of Suffolk, VA, Jeffrey P. and Jacqueline Beth Seebo of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeffrey, Brittany, and Elizabeth; brother, John Wiley Stamey of Chesapeake, VA. She was loved by everyone that knew her and she will be missed dearly.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Vaughan officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
