Leo E. Barlow, 63, 419 Pauline St., well-known Muncie grocer died early Sunday morning at Ball Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Windfall and came to Muncie as a young man.
He and Mrs. Barlow have owned and operated the Riverside Grocery at 423 Ashland Ave. the past 14 years. Prior to that they resided in Boonville several years.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters, Mrs. Robert L. Friend and Miss Ramona Barlow, both of Muncie, and Mrs. Melvin Mosier, Bremen; his mother, Mrs. Dora Curtis, Albany; a half brother, Howard Shackle, Muncie; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Meeks Mortuary with the Rev. Robert G. Sulanke officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and anytime before services Tuesday.
