GREAT BEND - Fred J. Margheim, 87, died Feb.
3, 1990, at the Cherry Village Nursing Home,
Great Bend.

He was born Feb. 6,1902, at Otis, the son of
Henry and Katherine Bauer Margheim.

A resident of Great Bend since 1974, moving
form Bazine, he was a retired farmer and
stockman.

He was a member of the Trinity United
Methodist Church, Great Bend, the Bazine
Lions Club, and a past member of the Bazine
school board, the Bazine Chamber of
Commerce, and the Bazine Township Board, all of Bazine.

On Aug. 10, 1927, he married Alice Kleweno at
rural Bazine. She survives. Other survivors
include: a daughter, Betty Lou Betz, Bazine;
a brother, William, Scott City; a sister,
Freda Wilhelm, Bazine; two granddaughters;
and three greatgrandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the
Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev.
Glenn Tombaugh presiding. Graveside service
will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Bazine
Cemetery, Bazine. Memorials may go to the
church in care of Fryberger Mortuary, Great
Bend
