Edward C. Bird, 69, 425 E. Third St., died early this morning at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born in Trimble County, Bird lived most of his life in Madison and was a retired meatcutter. He was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Madison Moose Lodge.
His wife, Agnes, preceded him in death in 1963. Survivors include three son: Jack and Paul, Madison; and Tom, Hanover; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Hill, Madison; two brothers: Frank and J. Howard, both of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Ewing, Louisville; 13 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Gans Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
