Services for William Carl "Bones" Bartlett, 77, of Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Ronnie Peck officiating. Burial will be in Mount Kenton Cemetery.
Mr. Bartlett died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, at his home.
He retired after 40 years as a printer for The Paducah Sun, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He and his wife were very active in the Ashley Thurman Dance Troupe, where they were in ballroom dance competitions.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Rosella Thornton Bartlett; two daughters, Marchita (C.L.) Sutton of Ledbetter and Gail (Wayne) McNichols of Lone Oak; three sons, Wade (Carolyn) Bartlett of Ridgeway, Va., Paul (Debbie) Bartlett of Indianapolis and Keith Bartlett of Paducah; one sister, Martha (Bob) Bundy of Paducah; nine grandchildren, Lorie Collins of Nashville, Tenn., Shannon Black of Nashville, Tiffany Hayes and Tim Hayes of Paducah, Brad Bartlett of Nashville, J.R. Bartlett of Ripley, Tenn., David Bartlett of Iuka, Miss., and Lindsay Bartlett and Kelsey Bartlett, both of Paducah; four stepgrandchildren, James Powers of Indianapolis, Sarah Barnett and John Sutton of Paducah and James Sutton of Buchanan, Miss.; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Black of Nashville and Madison Bartlett of Iuka, Miss.; and two step-great-grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Sutton of Buchanan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl William and Flora (Wade) Bartlett, and one sister, Judy Dowell.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the funeral home.
