Born July 9, 1942, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Sprouse and Rowena (Bright) Sprouse.
She retired from Keebler Company in Charlotte, NC, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Charlotte.
Survivors include her husband, Homer Lee Atkins of the home; three daughters, Melanie Vaughn of Rock Hill, Tammy Flowers of Charlotte, NC, and Teresa Delahunty of Pittsburgh, PA; three sisters, Aileen Hill, Doris Cromer, and Carolyn Webb, all of Spartanburg; two brothers, Clayton Sprouse and Larry Sprouse, both of Boiling Springs; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Joe Dempsey.
