ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Ambruce "Bruce" Dupont, the former Nursey Pourciaux, age 73, at 10:00 am Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Rusty Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard #2 Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.
A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Dupont passed away at 1:31 pm on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Rena D. David and husband Dudley, Jr.; son, Donald Dupont; sister, Sue Calvit and husband Fred and brother, John "Pie" Pourciaux and wife Sandy all of St. Martinville and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambruce "Bruce"Dupont; infant son, Ambruce Dupont, Jr.; Parents, Oliver and Rena Thibodeaux Pourciaux; one sister, Joycelyn P. Picard and two brothers, Roger Pourciaux and Theonile Pourciaux.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Pourciaux, Robert Pourciaux, Ricky Martin, Devin Pourciaux, Bill David and Patrick Picard, Jr.
