He 1st married Fannie C Mather on 30 Apr 1849 in Logan County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Southworth Mather and Philena "Rice" Mather. She was born 1830 and died in 1867 in Allamakee Co, Iowa


He married after wife Fanny's death on 25 Feb 1874 to Jane "Jennie" Anelia Beckwith (1st married to Edward Spencer) in Chetopa, Labette, Kansas, Daughter of Albert Beckwith and Louesa J. "Foster" Beckwith

12 OCT 2022 SAC with information that his father was William Bishop, possibly from Iowa.~* Meaning the cemetery was mapped out on a plat, with location of the graves. It is not just an enumeration of people who are buried there.
