He was a photographer, and lived at Burr Oak, Kansas.

He married, first, Lydia Abby, daughter of Silas and Lucy (White) Smith Jan. 18, 1853, in Albany. She was born in Vershire, Vt., Feb. 4, 1827; and died in Albany April 20, 1870, at the age of forty-three.

He married, second, Susan Eliza, daughter of Wesley and Lucretia (Smith) Clemons March 14, 1871, in Coral, IL. She was born in Wells, VT, Feb. 23, 1836. He died in Burr Oak Nov. 1, 1903, aged seventy-five.

Children:

Two sons and Two daughters that died in infancy.
