March 31, 2005:

Tecumseh resident Johnny Dwayne Jett, 55, died Monday March 28, in Wewoka.
He was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Shawnee to James and Winnie (Wall) Jett.
Jett was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh. He attended Tecumseh schools. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a barber in the Shawnee and Tecumseh area. He was with Del Plaza at the time of his death.
He was proceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Dale Jett.
Survivors include his parents, James and Winnie Jett of Tecumseh; sister and brother-in-law. Kay and Dewight Wise of Tecumseh; sister-in-law and spouse, Sally (Jett) andTerry Jackson of Shawnee; several nieces and nephews and other family.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Evangelistic Center Church with Pastor Mark McIntosh and the Rev. Robert Rider officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
