Dies At Home Here
John C. Marshall, retired grocer, died at 11 last night at his home at 247 North Watkins after an illness of a year. He was 80 years old.
Born in Coldwater, Miss, Mr. Marshall moved to Memphis in 1930. Prior to coming here, he operated grocery stores in Tupelo and Amery, Miss.
Mr. Marshall was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He leaves five sons, Hoyt Marshall of Seattle, Douglas Marshall, Gilbert Marshall and Fred Marshall, all of Memphis, and Frank Marshall, stationed in Austria; a sister, Miss Gertrude Marshall of Memphis; and a brother, Wylie Marshall of Tupelo.
National Funeral Home is in charge.
