Gary L. Baldwin, 84, of Dallas, TX, a longtime resident of Oklahoma City, passed away in Dallas on Sunday, October 14, 2007. Memorial services will be held at the All Souls Episcopal Church Chapel on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 6400 Pennsylvania Ave at 11 am. Gary was born in Gore, Oklahoma on July 26, 1923. He graduated from Chandler High School and received his B.S. and Master's degrees from Oklahoma City University after serving his country in World War II in the Army Air Corp. Gary's love for life was evident in his generosity and kind hearted spirit. Gary founded the Mayfair Methodist Church and was a 3rd Degree Mason. An active Republican, he ran for U.S. Congress in 1968. Gary was the founder of the Burger Inns of America, an international restaurant franchise and the American Enuresis Foundation. Constantly on the move, Gary traveled around the world six times and established a restaurant franchise in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1990. He was eleven of twelve children, all born in Oklahoma, and is survived by three siblings, Maxine Walkup, Dorothy Johnston, and J.W. Frank Baldwin. Gary was the proud father of two sons, Paul Baldwin (61) of Atlanta, Georgia and Mark Baldwin (54) of Dallas, Texas. He had four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and California.
