Final rites for Adolph Steffens, 76, of Simonton, were held Tuesday from the Simonton Community Church.
Mr. Steffens is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Steffens; five sons, Charlie of Simonton, Willie of Alvin, Edgar of Simonton, Gus of Simonton, and Leonard of Barker; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emma Donsbach of Seadrift.
Mr. Steffens came to Fort Bend County in 1924 from Kingsburg.
Pallbearers were L.A. Turner, R.C. Hill, A.L. Smith, Junior Daily, Maurice Berkman, and Allen Self.
Interment was held in the Greenlawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Arthur Kollmeyer officiating, under the direction of Garmany-Janca Funeral Home.
