GEORGE D. DUGGAN
TENNILLE - Funeral services for George D. Duggan, 76, a retired Washington County farmer, were held at 3:30 p.m. today in the Tennille Baptist Church.
The Rev. Milton Dwelle officiated, assisted by the Rev. Harold E. Pullen. Burial was in the Zeta Cemetery.
Mr. Duggan died Monday following a long illness. A member of the Tennille Baptist Church, he had lived in Washington County all his life.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Haywood Duggan; six daughters, Mrs. J.C. Wright, Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Jackie Tingle and Mrs. James Tingle, Wrightsville, Mrs. Emory Towner and Mrs. M.R. Saxon, Augusta, and Mrs. Edward Powell, Fairfield, Ala., three sons, M.J. Duggan, Augusta, Jack Duggan, Tennille, and Mell Duggan, Macon; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mark and Marcus Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.
