He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Betty, his son Franklin Frear Jr. (Jeane), his daughters Lori Carey (James) and Donna Kohout (Richard), his grandchildren Brian, Brittaney, Cody James, Tyler and Lucas, and his dog Katie. He was retired from Lourdes hospital and attended Twin Orchards Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City on Tuesday at 10am. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at the Barber Memorial Home on Monday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Health Care Cancer Care, 33-57 Harrison St, Johnson City, NY 13790.
