There he lived until 1898, when bis parents removed to Wisconsin, where his residence has been until his death. He attended the public school in both Massachusetts and Wisconsin and later the University of Wisconsin. His parents engaged in farming after removal to Wisconsin and he led a happy, normal life in that environment. He was fond of fishing and hunting and also helped capably with the work on the farm, and later, after reaching manhood, farmed in partnership with his father. He loved fun and enjoyed good times but was really of a serious turn of mind. He was an unusual child, being exceptionally trustworthy and reliable, which traits have characterized him throughout his life. His high ideals and sterling character manifested. themselves in hir honesty, his industry, his devotion to his aged parents, his home, his beloved family and all who were his kin. Their joys and sorrows were his concern and their happiness his objective. He loved his community and association with his friends. His life ended suddenly and painlessly on Dec. 12, 1938. He was laid to rest in Rock Church cemetery on Dec 15th, Rev. Father Hallock of Platteville. Rev. D. W. Davis of Livingston, members of the Masonic Fraternity and the American Legion officiating. His is departure is mourned by his wife, Leah M. Tenney, his son. Howard A Tenney, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Tenney; and his sister, Mrs. H. F.
