She was born in Vineland, NJ, and graduated from Vineland High School in 1944. She was a Bell telephone operator in Vineland till she married the late Walter C. Marsh, Sr of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, in 1946. She followed her husband during his 32 year U.S. Navy career, living in several locations including Norfolk, VA, San Diego, CA and Seattle, WA. The couple returned to Vineland with their four sons in 1964, and resided in their home on East Park Avenue for the next 46 years. After Mrs. Marsh had raised her sons, she became a volunteer at the Newcomb Hospital, and performed in that role for over 10 years. She was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Vineland.
Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, brothers Thomas Sprague and John Sprague, and sister Charlotte Giorgianna, and is survived by her sons, Walter C. Marsh, Jr (Janet) of Chicago, IL, Dr. T. Donald Marsh (Ginger) of Chesterfield, VA, R. Scott Marsh (Chermaine) of Long Beach, MS, and James J. Marsh (Annette) of White House Station, NJ, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren..
