Kasiar Alabama Drake is the daughter of Benjamin A Drake and Lucy Catherine Wallace. Benjamin A Drake and his brother Richard Sparks Drake married Wharton sisters. After his first wife, Mary Jane Wharton died; Benjamin married Lucy Catherine. In 1860 in Dallas, Texas; Benjamin and Richard Drake lived on adjacent properties and their nearest neighbors were Zenna W Ketchum and Thomas Frost who also married Wharton sisters. Also the Keen family lived near the related families.

In 1860 in Dallas, Texas, Kasiar Alabama resided with her parents Benjamin A Drake and his second wife and her mother, Lucy Catherine Wallace and her siblings William G, Nancy E, Thomas W and Samuel. In 1870 in Dallas Texas, Kasier Alabama resided with her widowed mother, Catherine and her siblings William G, Thomas W, Samuel A Drake and Lucinda F Abbot.

According to census data, Kasiar Alabama Drake married Edward W Doss in 1875. In 1880 in Denton County, Texas, Alabama Doss resided with her spouse Edward W Doss and their daughter Missouri. The 1900 census states that she is the mother of six children with four living. In 1910 in Childress, Texas, Kissie Alabama resides with her spouse Edward W Doss and children Mancell and Alfred S. In 1920 in Estelline, Hall County, Texas, the widowed Alabama resided with her son Alfred. Regarding her name, her closest friends called her "Bama"; however she was also called "Kissie" by others and census documents her as "Alabama" and "Kasiar". Her death certificate lists her name as Kasiar Alabama Doss and only the last names of Drake for her father and Wallace for her mother.

Kasiar Alabama Drake only married once and did not remarry after her husband, Edward W Doss, died. The 1900 census also states the couple were married in 1875 and that they had been married 25 years in 1900. Edward W Doss was her only husband; his death certificate incorrectly states that Alabama Drake was the mother of Edward W Doss; however the correct name of Edward W Doss's mother was Sarah Keen. The informant on Edward W Doss's death certificate was their son W M Doss (William Mancel Doss); Alabama Drake was his mother and the wife of Edward W Doss. According to the 1900 census Edward and Kasiar Alabama had six children and four were living in 1900. An account of their known children follows:

Kasiar and Edward's daughter, Lucy Doss Rutledge Reed was born June 6, 1882 in Denton, Texas and died December 17, 1932 in Lamesa, Dawson, Texas (Find A Grave #70198740). Her death certificate lists only the last names of her father as Doss and her mother as Drake.

Kasiar and Edward's daughter Nola Ovela Doss Miller was born September 3, 2883 Texas and died March 1, 1960 in Santa Clara, California (Find A Grave #121751315).

Kasiar and Edward's son, William Mancell Doss (born Sept 29, 1887 Briscoe, Denton, Texas-died June 28, 1979 Lubbock, Texas) is buried in the Resthaven Menorial Park in Lubbock Texas (Find A Grave # 51566232). The death certificate of William Mancell Doss cites his father as Edward Doss and his mother as Bama Drake.

Son Alfred Smith Doss was born November 13, 1894 in Archer, Texas and died January 14, 1960 in Stuttgart, Arkansas, Arkansas (Find A Grave # 116983731).
