Obituary
------------
Lawrence Earl South, 71, returned to his Heavenly Father peacefully while surrounded by his wife and all of his children on Jan. 1, 2007.

He was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Woodruff, Utah, to Edward Cannon South and Mildred Cox South. He graduated from South Cache High School in 1955, and served an LDS mission in Australia for one year, returned and completed his mission in the states for an additional year.
He fell in love and while working in Idaho, met his beautiful friend and eternal companion. He was married to DeEsta Jane Johnson South on Dec. 4, 1959.

He had various lines of work, but we recognize him for the dedicated work he and DeEsta did for our community and our church as a custodian and friend. Lawrence touched everyones lives with his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make us smile and laugh. Throughout his life he enjoyed and loved the outdoors, Lawrences true joy in life was his family. He loved and adored his 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He lived for their smiling faces and sends his undying love to Chelsea, Trevor, Katelyn, Nancy, Katrina, Dylan, Colby, Cannon, Dallas, Tara, DeEsta, Sadi, Lucy, and Isaiah.

He is survived by, his loving wife, DeEsta; his six children, Steve, David, Jeff, Jason, Karen, and Connie; and his sister and brother, Marilyn & Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Mildred South; and his two sisters, Carol and Barbara. Dad, you are the wind beneath our wings, we love you.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, Jan. 5, at the River Heights Stake Center 800 S. 600 East, River Heights. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the church prior to the funeral.
