Mark Allen, age 53, of Crocker, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013. He was born in Tuscumbia on January 10, 1960, son of the late Estal and Gertie (Jenkins) Allen.

Mark worked as a truck driver for Wil-Trans out of Strafford. He enjoyed carpentry and restoring and rebuilding all types of vehicles. Mark was famous for his homemade lasagna. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by two children, Michael Allen and wife Keli of Crocker and Cindy Griffin of Swedeburg; five grandchildren, Zoie Allen, Cody Roberts, Benny Griffin, Acacia Helton, and Michaela Helton; his fianceé, Glenda Helton of Crocker; and five brothers and sisters, Thomas Allen, Goldie Block and husband William, Steve Allen, Jimmy Allen, and June Pulford and husband Michael.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Darrell Allen, Estal Allen, and Don Allen; and two sisters, Gertrude Summers and Mary Jensen.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at noon, on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mark Allen Memorial Fund.
