Daniel was the son of Daniel Webster Anderson and Lovie Sanders. He was educated in the Peach County School System. He retired from the Houston County Board of Education after 18 years of service. He was a member of Greater Word of Deliverance Church in Perry, Georgia.
He was married to Ruby Lucas Anderson on December 22, 1945. He was preceeded in death by 1 daughter; Beverly Laverne Anderson and 1 sister; Minnie Fluellen..

Services were held Saturday, April 13,2013 at 1pm in the Sanctuary of Greater Word of Deliverance Church in Perry, Georgia with Pastor Milton Wynn officiating. Daniel's son, Donald Eugene Anderson died 3 days after him and was funeralized along with him.
