Rochester D&C, Monday, January 8, 1912:
Canandaigua, Jan 7--Emily Wright died this morning at 9 o'clock at the Rochester State Hospital aged 86 years. Miss Wright's death was due to Apoplexy, a stroke of which she suffered two days ago. Miss Wright was born near this village December 21, 1825. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Caroline Wing of Rochester; one brother Edward Wright of this village, and several nephews and nieces. The remains were brought to Canandaigua to-day and the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home of Clarence Beecher, Gibson street. Rev. Guy I. Merrill of the Presbyterian church will conduct the services. Burial will be made at East Bloomfield.
