Summersville, Oct. 21 - Henry Harrison Schoonover, 63, of Elkhurst, Clay county, died Wednesday in a Charleston hospital after a brief illness.
He was a prominent farmer, lumberman, and merchant of that community.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Orfa Schoonover, three sons, Walter, Denver, Colorado; Orvil and Gilbert, both of Charleston; two daughters, Janice and Carol, both at home; two brothers, John and Fred, , both of Akron, Ohio; and one grandchild.
For the past three years Mr. Schoonover had served as a member of the Clay County Court. He was a member of the Summersville Masonic Lodge and a trustee of the Elkhurst Methodist church.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at the Elkhurst Methodist church. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Blue Knob, near Elkhurst.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Pearson, Ira Townsend, Warding Tenney, Carrington Naylor, Dale and Denver Walker.
