Herman A. Berry, Jr. 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, April 21, 2006 in his home.

He was a crane operator for Bridgeport Brass for 39 years, retiring in 1990. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in both World War II and The Korean War. He was a member of The American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Berry in 1991.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Marion (Judith) Wendel, of Fairland, IN. Charles Jess (Donna) Wendel, of Indianapolis and David Allen (Vicki) Berry of Indianapolis; daughters, Lee Ann (Ronald) Michaelis, of Martinsville, Linda Marie (James) Boyd of Indianapolis, and Edith Florence (David) Forey of Martinsville; brother, Harold (Suzy) Berry of California and sister, Goldye (Michael) Doerflein of Indianapolis.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tues. April 25, at Jordan Gray Funeral Home, with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Hospital.
