Mr. Beck was a retired bus driver for the Chicago Transit Authority where he worked for 35 years; he was a resident of Hammond for 45 years; the last 20 years he lived in Jackson, Michigan; member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond; Garfield Lodge #579 F. & A.M.; the Abbie Hanson O.E.S #578; life member of South Bend Consistory; he was also a veteran of World War I.
