Beck, Emil L. – age 90, of Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Hammond, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 17, 1984, in Jackson, Michigan. Survivors: wife, Helen, one son Quentin (Marjorie) beck of Munster, two grandchildren, on great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday are incomplete. Friends may call at the LaHayne Funeral Home, 5747 Hohman Avenue, Hammond, Monday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Hammond.
Mr. Beck was a retired bus driver for the Chicago Transit Authority where he worked for 35 years; he was a resident of Hammond for 45 years; the last 20 years he lived in Jackson, Michigan; member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond; Garfield Lodge #579 F. & A.M.; the Abbie Hanson O.E.S #578; life member of South Bend Consistory; he was also a veteran of World War I.
