Richard P. Albright, 84, Roaring Spring, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Saturday at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Warren E. and Kathryn (Parsons) Albright. He married Norma Ruth Wagner on Feb. 14, 1948, at Hick's United Methodist Church, Duncansville, with her father, The Rev. Norman R. Wagner, officiating.

Surviving are his wife of Roaring Spring; a daughter, Richanda A. Conley of Leamersville; a son, Stephen R. Albright of East Freedom; two grandchildren: Tamara L. Brumbaugh and Alexis Albright; two great-grandchildren: Talia and Tarrisa Mazzeti; three brothers: Donald Albright, a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Robert Albright of Brooks Mills and Ronald Albright of Hollidaysburg; and 22 nieces and nephews.

Dick was a member of the Claysburg United Methodist Church.

He was a 1947 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

He retired as a nurse's aide from the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, after 30 years of service.

He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII. He enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycles and his pets.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Blankley officiating. Interment will be at McIntyre's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to his church.
