Jordan's beloved wife, Dorothy Peters, preceded him in death in December 1991. They were married for over 50 years and had two daughters.
Survived by six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1946, at the time of his discharge, he had served five years, mostly in the transportation department in Alaska, reaching the rank of major.
