Mildred Nitsch, 86, of Salina, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Salina Regional Health Center. Mildred was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Harvey County, the daughter of Dietrich and Louise Reimer.

She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and loved to play Bingo. She was a homemaker her entire life, and loved her family deeply.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Nitsch, in 1976; two sons, Tommy Nitsch, in 1950, and Wayne William Nitsch, in 1978; one daughter, Connie Lynn Patton, in 2007; and one sister, Elsie Anderson. She is survived by four sons, Richard and wife Susan Nitsch, of Prairie Village, Russell Nitsch, and Danny and wife Brenda Nitsch, all of Salina, and Darrell and wife Melinda Nitsch, of Gypsum; two daughters, Pat Thompson, of California, and Carol Cambell, of Wichita; one sister, Linda Anderson, of Newton; and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401, with the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where family will be receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Tammy Walker Cancer Center.
